Context
A US two-sided marketplace for buying and selling antiques and vintage goods, built on Sharetribe Flex and spanning a web app and native iOS and Android apps.
Problem
Listing an item was slow and manual, checkout had friction, and every feature had to work equally well on web and mobile to keep buyers and sellers engaged.
My role
Full-stack engineer owning major features across web and mobile.
Approach
- Built AI Product Listing: sellers upload photos and an AI model generates the full listing (title, category, and details), prefilling the entire form and turning a tedious task into a few taps.
- Worked heavily on the checkout flow, delivering a faster multi-step buy experience with in-flow shipping selection and order tracking (Shippo).
- Shipped live selling with real-time video (LiveKit) so sellers showcase and sell items on air.
- Built social-commerce features: follow/unfollow, seller stories with highlights, curated collections, and seller-profile pages.
- Packaged the React app into native iOS and Android apps with Capacitor, plus social sign-in (Google, Facebook, Apple).
